PUC NOVEMBER PENTECOST 2025 PRAYER

What we are Praying for:

  • Pentecost 2025 is a prayer and evangelism movement inviting Seventh-day Adventists in North America to collectively pray for and hold 3,000 or more “Proclamation Events” throughout 2025. Pray alone, with a prayer partner, with a prayer group, bible study group or church collectively

  • The North American Division has issued an intentional and urgent Call to Pray for the Holy Spirit to come with Pentecostal power during this year of united prayer and evangelism. Such a revival comes only in answer to prayer, as referenced by Ellen White in Selected Mesages, vol.1p.120.

Everyone is invited to participate. This intentional “Call to Pray” is for the Holy Spirit to bring a second Pentecost.

Seven Ways to Focus Your Prayers for Pentecost.

There are seven distinctive prayer requests that the disciples prayed for in the upper room. Pray these seven prayer points/requests for your life. We are encouraging you to do this so that we can go from where we currently are to where we need to be in order to receive this outpouring of the Holy Spirit. These seven conditions are outlined in Acts of Apostles and based on Acts chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4.

  1. Let your requests be made known. They met together and presented their requests to the Lord.
  2. Pray for humility in true repentance and confess your unbelief. They humbled their hearts in true repentance and confess their unbelief.
  3. Pray with intense earnestness to meet people in their daily walk, to speak words that will lead sinners to Christ. Pray earnestly for a willingness to meet men/women in their daily course of life. Meet them where they are, understand the various generations, understand the diversity and life styles of different ethnic groups and political leanings. Pray with intensity for much wisdom.
  4. Pray and choose to get rid of all differences and supremacy to unite in Christian fellowship. They put away all differences, all desire for supremacy, and they came close together in Christian fellowship. That doesn’t mean that they didn’t have differences, and it did not mean that the differences went away. The Bible says that they put those differences aside and focused on what they had in common for what God had called them to do.
  5. Pray that God will help you search your heart in preparation to receive the Holy Spirit. They did a lot of heart-searching - remembering their previous thoughts and actions.
  6. Cry to the Lord in holy unction to fit you for soul saving. They felt their spiritual need and cried to the Lord for the Holy Spirit to help.
  7. Pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in obedience to God’s Word, and Christ will also add His intercession. While they were praying and asking for the gift of the Holy Spirit on earth, Christ at the same time was interceding with His heavenly father.

Scriptures to pray daily for the Church:
Nov 1: Zechariah 10:1 - Pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that brings Revival
Nov 2: Zechariah 12:10 - Pray for the Spirit of Prayer to return to the Church
Nov 3: Philippians 3:2-5 - Pray that the church will esteem others higher than themselves
Nov 4: John 5:17 - Pray that the church will join God in working for their communities
Nov 5: Mark 12:30-31 - Pray that the church will grow in love for God and for one another
Nov 6: 2 Timothy 4:2 – Pray that the church will preach the Word of God without apology
Nov 7: Colossians 4:2 – Pray that the church would devote itself to prayer

We should Pray as earnestly for the descent of the Holy Spirit as the disciples prayed on the day of Pentecost. If they needed it at that time, we need it more today
