Over 300 Northern California Conference (NCC) freshmen and sophomores and 50 junior and senior leaders gathered at Leoni Meadows on the weekend of Feb. 9 for an unforgettable experience of faith, friendship, and mentorship. This annual Bible Conference is not just another retreat—it is a chance for young people to grow closer to God while forming meaningful connections with their peers.
One of the most inspiring aspects of the weekend was the leadership of the older students. These leaders did not just participate—they stepped up as mentors, guiding small groups through team-building activities, deep discussions, and Bible studies. For many, this was their first time leading in such a way, and the impact was profound.
“This was the best weekend of my life!” one student leader said, reflecting on the joy of connecting with younger students and watching their faith grow. Several others joined that sentiment by sharing, "We have never felt so close to God, and the Holy Spirit was guiding the meetings."
Garrison Chaffee, youth pastor of the Pacific Union College church, expressed his excitement about the event: “I am thrilled to see our students stepping into leadership and mentoring their younger peers. It is amazing to watch them share their faith and create a space where everyone feels valued and supported.”
He continued, "The weekend would not have been possible without the support of the NCC Youth Department, along with many youth pastors, teachers, and parents who poured their time and energy into making it a success. These adult and student leaders embody the hope and future of our church. It is a reminder that our future is secured by God’s grace, power, and love.”

Jóvenes brillan en conferencia bíblica de NCC
Más de 300 estudiantes de primer y segundo año de la Northern California Conference (NCC) y 50 líderes de tercer y cuarto año se reunieron en Leoni Meadows el fin de semana del 9 de febrero para una experiencia inolvidable de fe, amistad y mentoría. Esa Conferencia Bíblica anual no es solo otro retiro, es una oportunidad para que los jóvenes se acerquen más a Dios mientras forman conexiones significativas con sus compañeros.
Uno de los aspectos más inspiradores del fin de semana fue el liderazgo de los estudiantes mayores. Esos líderes no solo participaron, sino que se ofrecieron como mentores, guiando a grupos pequeños a través de actividades de formación de equipos, discusiones profundas y estudios bíblicos. Para muchos, esa era la primera vez que lideraban de esa manera, y el impacto fue profundo.
«¡Este fue el mejor fin de semana de mi vida!», dijo un líder estudiantil, reflexionando sobre la alegría de conectarse con los estudiantes más jóvenes y ver crecer su fe. Varios otros se unieron a ese sentimiento al compartir: «Nunca nos habíamos sentido tan cerca de Dios y el Espíritu Santo guiaba las reuniones».
