Independence Day is a federal holiday commemorating the declaration of the independence of the United States on July 4, 1776. The past two years have been unusual times for us as pandemic restrictions prevented public gatherings and fireworks displays in much of the Pacific Union territory. This year it seems that a more traditional Fourth of July can be had by all. When we come together, we express our gratitude for so many different blessings. But on Independence Day we are specifically grateful for our country. A Happy Fourth of July to all of you.

At this time of year, we love to celebrate our graduates! Out of our 113 schools, we had 751 kindergarten graduates; 824 eighth-grade graduates; and 672 12th-grade graduates. And this doesn’t include graduates of the institutions of higher education in the Pacific Union: La Sierra University, Pacific Union College, and Loma Linda University.
Our episode closes today with a montage of some of our graduations from Hawaii to Arizona, California to Nevada and Utah. Congratulations to the class of 2022! We are SO proud of you!
