Prayers were united during a virtual Pentecost Prayer Rally on Jan. 11, 2025, led by Nevada-Utah Conference (NUC) President Carlos Camacho and NUC Executive Secretary Chanda Nunes-Henry. This was the culmination of the worldwide 10 Days of Prayer initiative to start the year with an intentional focus on praying for the Holy Spirit. The event brought together participants from different areas of the conference to seek God’s presence, lift their communities, and pray for the latter rain.
It was great to see everyone coming together to pray. You could feel the Spirit moving as we all lifted our hearts to God, even from different locations.
One participant prayed specifically for the conference leaders, asking for wisdom and strength in guiding the church. Another lifted prayers for the country, seeking healing and unity during these times of transition. But the most frequent prayer request echoed the same longing: for a deeper relationship with God and readiness for Jesus' soon return.
In Reno, Nevada, members of the Reno/Sparks Hispanic church gathered in their church building to join the rally.
The sight of individuals praying together, whether in their homes or church pews, was a powerful testament to the desire to seek God together as a community in the vast territory of the Nevada-Utah Conference.
“It was great to see everyone coming together to pray,” shared Jackie Bradford, one of the attendees. “You could feel the Spirit moving as we all lifted our hearts to God, even from different locations.”
The rally was not just an event to end the 10 Days of Prayer but also a starting point for future initiatives. Reflecting on the evening, the conference president shared, “It’s something that we would like to do again and offer better options for those who speak other languages. We are here to grow together as loving followers of Jesus.”
As the evening concluded, participants were encouraged to carry the momentum forward, keeping the focus on prayer and spiritual growth throughout this year of evangelism.

Rally de oración de Pentecostés
Las oraciones se unieron durante una Manifestación de Oración virtual de Pentecostés el 11 de enero de 2025, dirigida por el presidente de la Nevada-Utah Conference (NUC), Carlos Camacho, y la secretaria ejecutiva de NUC, Chanda Nunes-Henry. Fue la culminación de la iniciativa mundial de los 10 Días de Oración para comenzar el año con un enfoque intencional en orar por el Espíritu Santo. El evento reunió a participantes de diferentes áreas de la conferencia para buscar la presencia de Dios, elevar a sus comunidades y orar por la lluvia tardía.
«Fue genial ver a todos reunidos para orar. Podías sentir el Espíritu moviéndose mientras todos elevamos nuestros corazones a Dios, incluso desde diferentes lugares».
Un participante oró específicamente por los líderes de la conferencia, pidiendo sabiduría y fortaleza para guiar a la iglesia. Otro elevó oraciones por el país, buscando la sanación y la unidad durante estos tiempos de transición. Pero la petición de oración más frecuente se hacía eco del mismo anhelo: una relación más profunda con Dios y la disponibilidad para el pronto regreso de Jesús.
En Reno, Nevada, miembros de la iglesia hispana Reno/Sparks se reunieron en el edificio de su iglesia para unirse a la manifestación.
La vista de las personas orando juntas, ya sea en sus hogares o en los bancos de la iglesia, fue un poderoso testimonio del deseo de buscar a Dios juntos como comunidad en el vasto territorio de la Nevada-Utah Conference.

Al concluir la noche, se animó a los participantes a continuar con el impulso, manteniendo el enfoque en la oración y el crecimiento espiritual a lo largo de este año de evangelismo.
