The youth ministries team at Sparks church, under the leadership of Belle Pedro, voted to attend the West Coast Influencers in Arizona. With 25 youth wanting to attend, it was time to raise money to cover the cost. Along with funds donated by the church, the kids decided to put on a car wash.
Josh Pieters Jr., commenting on the event, was heard saying, “It was great being out there with my church family supporting our community.” Another excited worker, 10-year-old Tonga Manu, remarked, “I liked it because we got to get wet while washing the cars, got to dry cars, and talk to people who came to wash their cars. We also got to clean a cool car with fire painted on it. The best part is that everyone was there working.”
Elder Tevita Valele expressed his delight in the success of the event. “First and foremost, I want to praise God for a successful youth and young adult fundraising event. To watch the young people in action advertising with their signs, washing people’s cars, and offering them food and drinks, definitely brings joy to my heart. We appreciate all the supporters who came out to encourage our young people. Thank you to all the parents attending, and for all the donations of food, snacks, and drinks that contributed to the success of the event. For the blessings received, we give all glory and praise to God and God alone.”
The church members rallied together and helped the youth raise over $1,000. This car wash showed the kids that with hard work and the help of God, anything is possible.
As we read in Hebrews 13:16 “And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God” (NLT).
We pray that our youth will have a wonderful experience at the conference.

Jóvenes de Sparks recaudan fondos para viaje a Arizona
El equipo de ministerio juvenil de la iglesia de Sparks, bajo el liderazgo de Belle Pedro, votó asistir a West Coast Influencers en Arizona. Con 25 jóvenes que querían asistir, era hora de recaudar fondos para cubrir el costo. Con los fondos donados por la iglesia, los chicos decidieron hacer un lavado de autos.
Se escuchó a Josh Pieters Jr., comentando sobre el evento, decir: «Fue genial estar con mi familia de iglesia apoyando a nuestra comunidad». Otro emocionado colaborador, Tonga Manu, de 10 años, comentó: «Me gustó porque nos mojamos mientras lavábamos los autos, podíamos secar los autos y hablar con las personas que venían a lavar sus autos. También pudimos limpiar un auto genial con fuego pintado en él. La mejor parte es que todos estaban colaborando».
El pastor Tevita Valele expresó su alegría por el éxito del evento. «En primer lugar, quiero alabar a Dios por un exitoso evento de recaudación de fondos para jóvenes. Ver a los jóvenes en acción anunciando con sus carteles, lavando los autos de las personas y ofreciéndoles comida y bebidas, definitivamente trae alegría a mi corazón. Agradecemos a todos los simpatizantes que vinieron a animar a nuestros jóvenes. Gracias a todos los padres que asistieron y por todas las donaciones de alimentos, bocadillos y bebidas que contribuyeron al éxito del evento. Por las bendiciones recibidas, damos toda la gloria y alabanza a Dios y sólo a Dios».
Los miembros de la iglesia se unieron y ayudaron a los jóvenes a recaudar más de $1,000. Ese lavado de autos mostró a los chicos que con trabajo duro y la ayuda de Dios, todo es posible.
Como leemos en Hebreos: «Y no os olvidéis de hacer el bien y compartir con los necesitados. Esos son los sacrificios que agradan a Dios» (13:16). Oramos para que nuestros jóvenes tuviesen una experiencia maravillosa en la conferencia.
